Die Weltgebetstagsbewegung aus Deutschland unterstützt u.a. Menschenrechtsarbeit in Kolumbien, die Bildung für Flüchtlingskinder im Libanon und einen Verein von Roma-Frauen in Slowenien. Seit über einhundert Jahren macht sich die Bewegung stark für die Rechte von Frauen und Mädchen in Kirche und Gesellschaft. Am 1. März 2019 werden allein in Deutschland hundertausende Menschen Gottesdienste und Veranstaltungen hierzu besuchen.
